I have not written since i was in Uganda.....but i have decided to re start and keep writing. So much has happened since then, i had some amazing experiences that will never leave me! I went through some tough times that have made me stronger and now just three months later, i am stuck in at Uni, in Norwich....training to be an adult nurse. Good times!
Today,
is an ordinary day as a student nurse. At the moment we are doing 10 till 4 lectures and learning practical learnign skills that we will need when we start our placements. My placement starts on Monday. I am working on the wards in the N&N and for the first real time, wearing my uniform!!
On Tuesday we learnt to shave men and brush teeth, to use slings and bandage wounds. It was real fun.....today we are back in the lecture theatre. This mornign we had 2 hours on food hygiene. Fun fun fun....this included a cheesy video from the 80's i think. It was a joke, infact i nearly fell asleep.
Last night, i was cleanning my room a bit and opened my window. As i did a huge gust of wind came in....then knocked my huge frame of the shelf that had all my photos collaged in and missed my head by inches, the glass smached everywhere. I screamed of shock at the top of my voice and Christie (my flat mate and my course mate- really nice girl, my age - 18) ran in and was laughing her head off. She asked if i was okay and said she heard a bang, a scream and knew it was me. These things always happen to me...lol....why!?
Anyways we cleared it all up and then i knocked the glass of flowers on the floor and the smelly water went everywhere....everywhere, into my drawer, over my clothes and grrr...;.anyways, hopefully today will be a lil better!!!
